Wow...this isn't the same George Floyd CNN is reporting on and parading around!
Looks like CNN has some fact checking of their own reporting that they need to do about this guy!
his murder was a crime and justice must be done, but it's sobering to learn more about the man who is being lionised by millions.
thanks as always to the courageous candace owens.. ....

what a wonderful time to be a jehovah’s witness!
for the most part you don’t have to go and preach you don’t have to go to meetings and you can stay home and watch what happens on your ipad.
these are the glory days!!
This may be a little off topic...but a misfortune this pandemic is having on JW Kingdom Halls is the neglect to the exterior of the buildings and landscape. I just drove by our local Kingdom Hall and it was a sight to behold. Four to five feet weeds growing all over the grounds. The place truly looks abandoned. There is definitely no pride of ownership and it really reflects badly on the God we worship...while the surrounding Churches landscapes are neatly manicured. I'm not for obvious reasons not wanting to show a picture of our Hall...attached, though is an image of what it reminds me of. It's amazing what 3 months of neglect can do to a piece of property!
i started dating a coworker who is a divorced jw.
found out he was disfellowshipped, and he was trying to figure out how to make things work.
i am not a jw, and his family is not supportive of the relationship.
Amberlou...the first thing that came to mind when I read your thread was..."Run Forest Run!
Seriously...get the holy hell out of that relationship!
both my 84 yr old jw father and my never my jw mother 82 with both together died from the the corona in 24 hours of each other.
i can tell many fighting i have had here in the last 20 years.on this site .
i juy hope they rest in peace.
Sorry for your loss Hotpepper...may Godspeed!
has anyone turned it down or know of someone who did turn down being an elder or ms?.
yes, it should be one of the biggest privileges a brother can get !!
(how do i put the barfy icon in?
My guess is...there are many on this board who are still serving as elders or ministerial servants. However there are a good many more who no longer serve as such. No doubt many of these ones refused to serve though there was much pleading & begging almost to the point of harrassment by other congregation elders to return.
last wednesday my elder brother called me to let me know mom had died.
she was 97 years old and was in a nursing home for the last 7 years.
her mind had left her many years ago to the point she didn't recognize any of us.
Still Totally ADD...sorry to hear about your mom's passing. Brings back sad feelings I had when my mom passed last year. My thoughts are with you my friend.
so within a week he changed the end time chain of events.
this time he said false religion will be along side with the govt.
powers when they declare peace and security!
Our congregation was reminded that the CO's visit is in the first week of June & that the entire program will be via zoom. Then came this hilarious announcement while all forms of face to face public witnessing is on hold until further notice due to covid19: "All who are able are encouraged to auxiliary pioneer for the month of June with reduced 30 hour requirement."🤣🤣🤣
This religion has a one-track mind & is a joke!
i wonder if the covid restrictions continue are they gonna disfellowship via zoom?.
As of a BOE letter dated May 16th Kingdom Halls can now be used for judicial matters. Makes sense...Congregations are going to be bombarded with judicial matters if they put them off much longer. I've heard in my neck of the woods that marital problems among JWs are on the rise due to couples being cooped-up together. So the society is allowing/encouraging elders to handle such issues now before couples start 'killing' one another.🤣
i am just curious if anyone knows whether the "friends" still are required to wear "meeting clothes" for attending meetings through zoom?
such emphasis on dressing in a godly manner over the decades, would be interesting if some attend in pajamas or their work clothes, no makeup, etc....
Do JWs dress up in meeting clothes for zoom meetings?
Is the Pope Catholic?🤣🤣🤣
one thing that aggravates me is long concluding prayers, especially at the midweek meeting.
you work all day, rush home, grab a quick bite, dress up in meeting clothes.
then, go to the meeting.
Oh...how I can relate to this thread! You'd think Davros & I attend the same congregation! Aside from the long repetitive prayers...there's those elders and ministerial servants who repeatedly mention 'Jehovah' over and over and over again. The most I've counted someone saying 'Jehovah' in a prayer was 15 times.
